Hi all,

We are a recently commissioned roaster / acid plant in China currently preparing for our first major annual shut down. We have been operating now for 12 months and have planned the shut in 4 months time.
The majority of our operations and maintenance crews are relatively new to acid plant maintenance and operations. Can anyone assist in detailing areas of the plant and/or jobs that we should be focusing on during our coming shut down?
We are planning a 2-3 week shut and have planned the following jobs:
1. Roaster gas train modifications ducting and cyclones (due to issues with roaster off gas cyclones).
2. Filter tower packing replacement
3. Screening of the first and second cataylist bed in conversion tower.
4. Heat exhanger maintenance in cleaning, dry adsorption and conversion.
5. ESP maintenance.
Is there any other areas we should be looking at which we may have missed?
Does anyone have a contact to a acid plant shut down service provider that we can contract shut down works to?

Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir,
You will be taken S/D on 19.03.10. As per my suggestion ple to be followed following jobs.
1. DT, IAT and FAT circulation pumps to be checked.
2. ESP gas I/L duct should be cleaned.
3. Pre heater tube bundles joint should be checked.
4. Main stack I/L duct to be cleaned.
5. PHES acid and water lines to be inter changed.
Thanks,
with regard,
