We are operating 180 tpd Capacity Sulfuric Acid Plant with @ 90 tpd capacity of SO3 derivatives. We are facing acute problem of SO3 Duct failure. Our SO3 duct size is 700mm and industry experts recommend 900mm dia ducts. We need another opinion.

Our Sulfuric Acid Plant capacity is 260 metric tonnes per day and the SO3 duct is 990 mm. From time to time we have gas leaks but since we increased the operating temperature we improved the performance given that we avoid SO3 condensation. What is the SO3 temprature in your duct?
