I am looking to find out what is available on the market for sulfur pit and tank level indication mechanisms. Are there off the shelf units or are there some simple manufactured items out there. Please provide how you indicate sulfur level in your plants.
Thanks

The best instrument to measure molten sulfur level is the bubbler. Air is bubbled into the molten sulfur by means of a tube extending to the bottom of the sulfur tank. The bubbler measures the pressure required to overcome the head of sulfur in the tank. The most popular bubbler on the market was one made by Uehling Instruments. They may have been bought out or gone out of business. I have not bought one in several years.

We use radar for level indication in sulfur pits and storage tanks.
