Hi all,

Is anyone aware of a material that is resistant to 55% H2SO4 at a temperture of 100C and a solids density of up to 20%?
We run a wet As recovery circuit and operate our cooling tower under the above conditions. We have had continual failure of our pumps, pipe work (especially elbows) and valves and are on the look out for a suitable material that can cope with such a corrosive environment. We current use PTFE lined steel pipe and PTFE line butterfly valves.

Hastealloy or Glasslined steel may be suitable for 55% H2SO4 at 100C.
